In the pursuit of greater levels of integrity I have reorganized my “to do” list. To me integrity means keeping my commitments to myself – where what I am doing is actually matching my intentions! Lots of times I have good intentions to accomplish something and then I get distracted because there is so much that needs doing. Or I have so many things to do that I can’t decide what to do first and I end up just spinning my wheels and accomplishing nothing. So my beloved “to do” list helps to keep me on track and organized. When I make an intention, I write it on my list along with the day and time that I expect to do it. As I eat breakfast in the morning, I review my list and look at what I need to do that day. I pick any one of the things on the list and get started. It also feels great to cross it off when it is accomplished. No more spinning of wheels or things falling through the cracks! This seems more necessary to me at this time of year when everything seems to need doing at once – flowers, vegetable garden, spring cleaning, writing, computer work, etc., as well as all the fun stuff. So maybe I will rename it my Integrity List – that sounds way more appealing!
