Intensity in the Doorway

I thought I was going to get through this eclipse doorway unscathed, but no such luck! I thought I was paying attention but last Thursday and Friday I was distracted from my writing by “things that needed doing.” I did get some writing done on Thursday but Friday was a wash. So by Thursday evening my throat was starting to feel scratchy. Friday my sinuses started to drain a little and my throat got worse. Of course, I started all my usual herbs and homeopathics trying to keep it from developing into a cold. Saturday I rested most of the day and it seemed like things were improving. Then Sunday I went through two boxes of tissues! My nose would just not stop running.

It took me a while to make the connection between being distracted and my cold. I should have known, since physical issues generally show up as a way to motivate me to write. I guess when you are in the doorway of eclipses like this one, you can’t take your eyes off the road for a moment! So with a box of tissues beside me, Sunday became a writing day. I continued to take my herbs and teas as well and visualized vibrant health for my sinuses and throat. I imagine that my cold is also a cleansing response to my desire to release whatever holds me back – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I am a little better this morning and hope that I have got the lesson and my cold will be gone with the Solar Eclipse tomorrow morning!
