Staying in the Flow

I watch the great swirling storm systems march across the US on the weather map and can’t help but feel that they are reflective of the energy at this time. I see the winds of change blowing through nearly everyone’s lives and the cleansing torrential rains that are sweeping away the remnants of our sense of security in old structures. Winds and water are powerful change agents on the planet – all structure eventually gives in to its force either quickly or over time.

Likewise the flow of our breath and blood can affect our physical structure. We certainly know how important it is to get the blood flowing and our breath moving to stay healthy. Breathing exercises can help move the life force energy throughout our bodies to prevent stagnation and dis-ease. Understanding the ways of nature help us to find new sources of security in the movement of energy that is changing everything. Learning to allow the energy to flow around or through us –
like the grasses waving in the wind or the fish in the fast flowing streams – keeps us from losing our footing and our way. Let go of resistance and move with the flow of the solar winds and the rhythms of nature – releasing and then filling up again and again.
